Import/lost data

1. I had several issues at this weekends tournament. Using Android device (Samsung Captivate), I continuously encountered force closes when trying to change lineup. I'm guessing this was caused because I didn't have default selected in league? last night I set up a league for just this tournament and did not go back in and select default before starting todays game. Please confirm if this would be the problem.

2. Not figuring out #1 above until much later (if that was even right), I used my son's iPhone for todays game. Then on the way home, I uploaded the game to the website and downloaded that game plus two other games I had recorded on the iPhone. Mapped the players and all seemed well until I looked at the year to date stats, My team had each player listed twice with 3 game on one, and 5 games (recorded on android) on the other. Figuring I did something wrong mapping I deleted the 3 games downloaded and started over. However, I never got to see if this worked because.....see 3 below.

3. Clicking around the options I selected import figuring I could import from the data uploaded from the iphone, after selecting import and saying yes. All my games and stats are GONE. Seriously, did I just lose all that work???!!!

Please help.

If you can email us with the customer ID from each of your devices (look in the Options screen in iScore on each device to see the customer ID) to support@iscorecentral.com, we can see what is on the server.

We are not clear from the steps you listed if you had actually done an Options->Export from the iPhone. When doing an import, iScore puts up a message that says "Confirm Import - If you click OK your existing data will be replaced by the previously exported data" with the option for OK or Cancel. So if your last export to the server did not have all your games, then that data would have overwritten what is on the device. But if you email us your information, we can take a look.

Yep, I screwed up. I had never exported from the android device, so I'm sure I lost all that data. Fortunately, I had e-mailed stats to several people and have them. Is there any way to get those stats back "in the system" without the actual games? Otherwise I'm looking at having to add together (in excel) the stats from the lost games to any new games we play to get ytd numbers for the rest of the season. :(

What about #1 above, does that sound right?

We would not expect the Leagues selected to cause an issue with changing the lineup, but it is possible you are onto something. If you can email us the specific steps you are taking that can cause a Force Close, we would like to try and reproduce the crash on devices here. Please email the steps to support@iscorecentral.com and we will look at it right away.

Additionally, if/when you do get a Force Close, there should be an option to submit the information from the crash to Google - if you can do that and include a note what was being done at the time of the crash, it can help us track down issues.

Thank you.

For the statistics, if you happened to be using iScorecast during the game (or have done an iScorecast Syncrhonize at any point), we can also recover the games that way.

If you email us with your Customer ID, we can see what options are available for your account.

Data recovered, ya'll are awesome. Thanks.
I'm still having some trouble sharing data from the iPhone to the android phone. I've sent data from iphone, and retrieved the data to the android device. The game is there, the mapping of players all looks correct. Then when I go to team manager and look at stats, there are two players with same name and the iPhone stats on separate line from all the Android stats. I have deleted the iPhone game twice and tried again with same result. I even left it and went to the player manager (exemple there are 2 Jake Williams) thinking I could just merge the duplicated players one at a time. Can't find a merge button on the Android although it is right there in plain view on the iPhone.
Humbling....

I got it fixed. Had to delete game, then delete the duplicated player in player manager, retrieved game again and remapped, and all good.
