I usually set left handed batters during the game as the player bats as I don't have this information ahead of time. I do the copy to roster from the game and it appears to update it on the team roster but if you look at the player manager record, the change is not updated. I would think it should update the player manager record so that the next season when you add the player to a new team that information would already be there. I haven't tested this on the throwing hand since I haven't been changing that value.

They are independent by design. You must Change in player manager if you want his default value to change go forward when added to future teams and game line ups. Chugging a player on a team roster does not ripple back to player manager..

I can see something like jersey number being team and not player, but a person can either bat right handed, left handed or both. That is not specific to a team that is specific to the individual person and that person's capability and it is my opinion it should be updated just as their name is updated.

I guess it must be by design since they are obviously stored separate, I would like to understand the reasoning since that means you have to do a double update.

I just went into a game, changed a players left/right status and it was reflected in player manager. I believe that is what you are asking for

iPad v 3.09

I'm running the latest iPad version but when I go into the game (pitch by pitch) I scored earlier today and look at the player and the player is set to batting left, I then do the copy lineup to roster but the player manager is not updated. If I just change the betting in the p by p then look at the team it is correct but player is not. I remember having an issue at sometime previous where the display was incorrect but when I exported to the admin site, the batting was correct. I wonder if that issue is back. I don't want to export now to see because I have those other 2 issues posted and have my data exported in case FTM needs to look at that data. I've editted that game on my iPad to get all the substituions in so don't want do to an export until I hear something.

I believe I posted about that other display issue previously but haven't searched to find it.

I just ran a test game on iPad .. Perhaps a small glitch...

Situation..

Joe lead off player set In player manger to right right,
Created a game with joe lead off on roster and in line up, play..
in game scoring screen I changed him to left left, (by misc starting line up)..... Exit out
Now in player manager Joe lead off now shows left left...(on second try) ...
Went back into game, changed him to both both, (by substitution screen, tapped player icon, right arrow on Joe, save)..exit
now in player manager (on second try) shows joe lead off as both both... This is what you would expect, player profile updated..

can you duplicate this?


note I said on "second try" (may be a bug ) . Each time I went back to player Manager the first time I looked, no change, looked second time and changed. In fact it did not matter who I looked at first, the second look on shows change.. Ie enter player manager look at Charlie hustle then Joe lead off, looks fine.. If I come into player manager and look first at Joe lead off, no change, look a second time, changed...

Help FTM!

I'm not seeing that just going in and out of player manager. My player manager is displaying batting right but if I pull up the player card in that screen, it says batting left.

Please double check and confirm your ipad version is 3.09.xxx.. The latest version that came out last wek. Thanks in advance

For that 'problem edited player', try my 'double look test' ...and report back..

Player manager > select player > (note left/right) >
return to player list (upper left button) > select player again,>
did player left/right change?.. Now try player card, does Left/right now match?

I have found that the 'first look' of the problematic 'in game edited player profile' is off, and does not match player card ut second look does match.
