Crashes...can't score a game

I'm brand new and tried to score my first game yesterday on an iPad. Set up two teams, the league, and scheduled the game. When I went to the game and clicked on "play" a pop up window said I needed to have at least one batter from each team. I have all players checked as batting on both teams. Then the home team roster popped up. When I tried to click the visitor button on the bottom, the app crashed. Over and over and over. In fact, that is the only way I could get off of the home team roster page. Not sure what I'm doing wrong and it's frustrating. Powered down my iPad and restarted. Same thing. Also, although the game was scheduled for yesterday it still reads as "has not started". Please help...
