Player List issues

Version: 3.03.117 Android

When looking at the player list, it starts at "G" with a last name starting with "G", then all players from A to G are listed and also Player 1. It was working fine just the other day.

There is also a whole team roster that does not show up in the player listing, but is viewable in the Team Manager section.

Thank you for your assistance.

If you can do an Options->Export and email us your customer ID to support@iscorecentral.com, we can take a look at your data. The usual reason for data not showing is people turning of Leagues in League Manager. To see if that is the issue, go to League Manager, and make sure there is a checkmark next to the "All" league. If there is not, try checking that, and going back to your Player Listing.

That first player actually has a "space" character as the first character of their last name, and that is why she appears first. If you tap the player in the player list to edit the player, then immediately save the player, the space will be removed, and sorting should be back to normal.

We have made it so the next release ignores leading spaces for the sort order.

Thank you for helping us uncover this issue.

I have also a player list issue, but not exactly the same.

I've added players to teams via the admin website. I've imported those players to my iPad using the import function. All of the players show up in the Team Manager under the appropriate teams, but not all show up in the Player Manager list.

Any idea of what might be going on?

Cheers,
Jason

Check your leagues in League Manager to be sure the All league is checked. Once you check that league, you should be able to see all your players in Player Manager. Chances are the players you were created were not assigned to the "active league" on your device.

Jaskegreen i know you understand leagues well..

any chance you have edited / renamed the default league over time, ? there is another post that mentions the default league is used when entering players on admin site. they had renamed the default league and it was causing some odd behavior in what appeared and not.

FTM, I saw that suggestion in a previous post so I made sure the ALL league was checked, and it was. The other leagues I have are:
  • 2011
    2011 Fall Ball
    2011 Spring Ball
    Bronco Division
    Mustang Division
    Pony Division
Team and Player leagues all have "2011" and "2011 Spring Ball" leagues checked as well as the division they are playing in. I did notice that when I was entering the player information in the team on the admin website, below it are the check boxes for the leagues, and it states underneath, "Any new players will be added to selected league(s)." The players I added for each team gets added to more leagues than what is checked. In fact, they get added to what is checked in the League Manager. This may or may not have anything to do with my issue, but thought I'd share.

OhioTex,
I have kept the same league names since creating them, I think. What do you mean by Default? Was there actually a league called "Default"? If so, then I did rename it, but I would have done that before I created teams and players.

Any other ideas?

Cheers,
Jason

OK. If you are having an issue with a particular player and want to do an Options->Export and email us your customer ID with a description of which player you are having an issue with, we can look at your data and find out specifically what is going on.

Jason. This won't be of any help, but to answer the question....
yes there was a "factory provided" league called "default"..you must have renamed or deleted it. No idea if that creates any problems.. reading between the lines in other posts from FTM, I think 'default league' may have had some special properties but not sure what.
I am also not sure what damange is done by renaming or deleateing it. I would have guessed none, .Perhaps FTM can chime in.. And if it is a problem restrict it from being deleted in future versions .

Sorry of no help, but FTM will investigate your data I suspect and resolve..
