Emailed a couple of player cards and Pitching Stats shows 1.2IP for a player, but the innings/games appears do not show any appears/games for the pitcher position.

If you can do an export from your device and email us at support@iscorecentral.com with your Customer ID and which player/game you are seeing this issue with, we can take a look. Thank you.

We found the issue.

Any game that was scored prior to version 2.75 (around May, but people may have updated at different times) needs an internal table updated that holds a summary of the game. This effects the "innings appeared" and "games appeared" data. For now, if you go to each game scored before May in Game Manager, select the game, then select any of the statistics options from the Game Info screen (Visiting Team Batting for example), and tap the Recalc button in the upper right corner, then select Yes, it will update this table, and you will then see the correct innings played / games appeared for the old games.

We have now made a fix so the "Recalc" on the Team Stats will also update this table. We plan to submit this update to Apple within the next few days. So you can either use the "Recalc" on each of the old games one at a time, or you can wait for the next update and it will recalc all the games for you from the Team Stats page.

Thank you for helping us identify this issue.

It would be great if you guys could add a "recalc all" or some such to the options screen. I've got 150+ games and 20 or so teams, and going through and hitting "recalc" over and over - when the entire DB needs it - just seems to be a waste of time. Is there a reason someone *wouldn't* want to do this? Could you just offer to do it the first time the program is run (if there's old data - and have a button in the Options page if the user says "no")? I'm glad there's a work-around for now, but going from 150 games to 20 teams is still too many times hitting a button.

Yes, we could add a button like that. The reason to not do it is the amount of time it takes to run to do a full recalc. If you are going to just print a Player Card for a particular player, then recalculating for the whole database does not make sense.

That being said, the recalculation is something that should only need to be done when new statistics are added to the system (does not happen often), so having it be a long running process that updates all data may not be so bad.

We will think about the best way of implementing something like this in a future release.

I like the beckman recalc all idea, perhaps burry it on options page, under admin, and explain what it is for (optimizing and updateing your underlying data base tables) and when to use (after new version update) and that it takes a long time to run, use infrequently.

There is some user value to knowing your database is 'optimized' and 'up to date'.

P.s. Thunder ..great find... And then FTM. Wow, fast diagnostic on what i can only imagine could have been a hard thing to figure out...nice job all!

Tex,
I only found this because we had a pitcher, early in the season, come in to pitch and then get hurt. She decided she didn't want to pitch any more after that (line-drive to the shin) so stats were easy to cross-check. :)
