Have a player named 'Amanda' and after the first weekend, the team stats (for the Pantherz) showed she had play in 3 games not 1. Looking at her stats in the Player Manger showed the other 2 games were from a different team. (I scored all teams that weekend and I guess when creating the roster for one of the other teams I used our Amanda instead of creating a new Amanda for them).

Trying to get the Pantherz team stats:

So at first I put those other 2 games in a different league. Panther Team stats still show Amanda as playing in 2 extra games.

Then I removed our Amanda from their roster and created a new Amanda for them. Same result. Amanda's player card still shows the individual stats for those games.

Renamed our Amanda to 'Amanda Panther' for clarity.

Deleted the 2 other games I had scored. 'Amanda Panther's player card now correctly shows only stats from the games she has played in for the Pantherz (she has only played for us and has not been a pickup player), but the Pantherz team stats still show she has 2 extra games.

We have now played 5 games (and that's what her player card shows) but team stats show 7 games.

I'm not sure how to fix this.

a bit confusing, may take a couple back and forth for me to fully understand and help ..

but here is my initial guess. the issue is in "game Line Ups" not "Team Roster".

first, It sounds like you are right on the initial source of the problem, you used a pre existing amanda (not new amanda panther), when you needed a new amanda.

FYI - i use same player in multiple leagues, games and teams and multiple players with same name, in different leagues and teams and the ipad has always kept them straight, so i do not think this is a systemic issue, rather and mis step on data entry, that is also fixable . the computer program stores each player with a unique id.

second, You were also right in the fix was to create a new amanda panther and use her. and sounds like you started down that path, but may not have done it completely. you need to create the new amanda panther in player manager and replace her in the team roster (via team manager) and in each game line up (game manager) panthers play in. (I am being very specific in my use of language, roster = team manager, line up = game manager, they are not the same thing after you have scored a game, you must get the right amandas in both the team manger rosters and ALL the game line ups that had an amanda play. ).

it sounds like you added new amanda to your player manager (good), and added new amanda to the team roster in the team manager (good) but did not go through each game and edit by the pitch by pitch editor the starting line ups, need to replace old amanda with new amanda in each games starting line up. did you do that?

do you have a team web site? if so it is easier to drill down on a player and see the games she is reported playing in, if you do not have a team site, just need to review game by game.

P.S. on deleted game.. I do not recommend deleting games except in the most carful way, i recommend sending them to a archive league instead. FTM can not recover a deleted game, unless you exported it recently.

Your were right. I switch the Amandas on the Roster but not in the Line Ups. When I went to do that, to my surprise, 'Amanda Panther' played in the same game for both teams. So her additional stats were not coming from the games I deleted as I had previously thought.

After switching the new Amanda in for the old in the starting lineups, everything looks correct now.
