double play causes error in extra inning game

I know I have read on this forum many times about the "error" caused by double play recording. It is not a big deal, and I never really thought much about it. But, it did cause some tense moments for me this weekend. Bottom of sixth, tie game, inning ends on double play. We use international tie-breaker, so batter making last out goes to second at start of next inning. But, b/c of the scoring error, iscore put the last batter on second rather than the last out. It was an easy fix manually, but I did want to alert everyone about the issue.

How did you score the double play? I did a test game on my iTouch and used the quick 6-4-3 DP and it shows the outs in the correct order. When I am not using the quick DP's I start the play with in play, fielders choice, then the rest of the play. Using fielders choice gets the outs in the correct order.

Not quite clear on the use case being described for the Tie Breaker. What is the situation where a batter hitting into a double play to end the inning would not be the player that should be put on second for the tie breaker? (As you noted, it is easily switched, but we would like to understand when that would not be the case.) Thank you.

for ITB, iscore is flexible, although it defaults to last batter on second (ISF rule) you can manually substitute anyone you want if your local rules have something different. (aka last out)

Common misconception i hear is it should be the last out on second, but per ISF or ASA rules, that is not technically correct. easier understood as last batter goes to second. (rule: ISF 5-6, ASA 5-11)

FTM, as I interpret the question if a double play occurs that is not one of the quick strokes then the user inputs in his/her own fashion. In that case some users start with out; not in play/fielders choice, hence the order of the outs to end the inning are incorrect. I may be wrong in my interpretation but that is the only way I can recall that the order of the outs are not scored correctly.
