Twittercast is not working

I'm tried Twittercast several times on the Ipad version, and it simply doesn't work. I've checked and doublechecked that I've entered the right u/n and p/w. When I hit the "test" radio button, absolutely nothing happens. The program doesn't even say, "You've successfully sent a tweet." It more or less acts like a dummy button.

Can someone offer me a fix?

Just did one as a test. Here is what you should do:

1. Click TwitterCast.
2. Enter user name
3. Enter passord.
4. Press "return" button on the keyboard
5. Close the twitter box by tapping away from it
6. Click the TwitterCast row again
7. Click Test.

This makes sure everything is in correctly and no steps are skipped.

You can view the test at:

http://twitter.com/bcltest" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Had done one this morning as well. You will see "Test from iScore Baseball " as well as the start of a game - did that just to verify as well.

http://twitter.com/bcltest" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I followed your directions precisely, but it didn't work. Nothing happens at all. The username and password are correct. Ive created a new Twitter account, but it doesn't work either. Any suggestions?

Nothing will actually happen in iScore when you click "Test". You will just have to verify on your Twitter account that the message went out. With the API we are using, there is not a success/failure from Twitter.

Is your iPad connected to the internet while doing the test? You can verify by going to Safari and browing to http://iscorecentral.com/baseball" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for example.

The only other things we can suggest are retyping your user name/password, verifying that case-sensitivity issues are not a problem, and using the steps we did above. If you email us directly at support@iscorecentral.com, we can help you one on one as well.

I followed all your directions to a "T," but it's still not working. I also tried to email to the above address and it was kicked back to me.

It sounds like maybe you are having network issues? Maybe a firewall is preventing twitter and email from working? That would explain both the Twitter and the kicked back email.

What did the "kicked back" email say? We just sent a test email to support@iscorecentral.com from a Hotmail account, and it was received instantly.

You can also email support@fasterthanmonkeys.com.

Thank you.

Our email is support@iscorecentral.com or support@fasterthanmonkeys.com. Your error message says support@iscorecast.com. If you try emailing to support@iscorecentral.com, it should get through.

Thank you.

Did you ever find the answer to this problem? I followed your directions and actually got the test message to work once. But I've repeated the process several times and I can't get it to work again. I'm using an iPhone, not an iPad, but otherwise my problem is the same.

Once you have got the "test" message to work, then you have confirmed your credentials are entered correctly, and there is no need to continue testing.

To send tweets during the game, just scroll the top section of the scoring screen to the left to reveal the tweet button. Click that whenever you want to send a game update. (Or press the tweet button in the bottom toolbar if you are using the iPad version.)
