iPad pitch chart hidden

I scored my first game on the iPad today. It's going to be great.. much better experience than on my iPod. I had a couple of issues though.

While scoring the first inning, the play-by-play list grew and eventually covered up the pitch chart below. I could not figure out how to uncover the pitch chart. I had to exit the app and restart.

I can't be very specific about the conditions, but the app crashed twice while scoring the game. I'll try to pay closer attention next game.

If you can find a way to reproduce either of those issues consistently, we would love to know the steps so we can reproduce and fix the issue.

We do know of one issue that we have fixed for the next version (after the 2.6 version that was already submitted that includes data sharing) --- that situation is using the "Undo" button on the "enter the touches for the outs" screen. Regular undo works, but if you start entering touches for a play (like 6-4), and then press the Undo there, it will currently crash.

That was it.. that's what caused the first crash. I was trying to enter the touches on an out and I hit Undo. Glad to hear you are already on top of that one.

As far as the pitch chart getting hidden, I haven't been able to reproduce that scenario again. But I'll keep trying :)

Just to add to simplementor's experience, I had the same experience with the play-by-play screen just adding on to the bottom (rather than becoming something that scrolls within a window) to the point that it covered not only the pitch-by-pitch entry screen but also the buttons along the bottom for accessing the scorecard or settings....

I have been using an iTouch for iScore since last summer, but this weekend bought and used an iPad to score the second half of a tournament. This was (obviously) pre-download of the latest iPad version, and I don't know if the second version of the software corrected this or not. I was using pitch-by-pitch for the top of the first, but play-by-play covered it up within a few outs in that half inning and rendered pitch-by-pitch useless for the rest of the game. This happened in both games that I scored using the iPad this past weekend. I did *not* experience any associated crashes.

I'd like to bump this topic of the play-by-play screen covering the pitch-by-pitch charting screen to see if there is a fix for it or a way to avoid this happening. I am going to score a game on the iPad later today and very much want to avoid this, both because I would like to use the pitch charting option, and more importantly, in the event of any scoring discrepancy, I need to be able to access the scorecard and it covers the button for doing that, too.

We have scored many games and still have not seen the issue. Our guess is it may have to do with rotating the device. There is a "rotation lock" slider on the right hand side of the device next to the volume controls. You can use that to avoid the device's "flipping the screen" when you rotate it. Additionally, if it ever happens, you should be able to exit out of the application, and go back in, and things would be restored to normal.

We still can not reproduce the issue, but if you can give us any specific steps to make it happen, we would certainly like to get it fixed.

Thank you.

I scored a game today and did not experience the problem again. The only differences that I can think of is that (a) I used quick roster the first two games, and had the time to input a roster ahead of time and set up a game with already inputted rosters this time, and (b) I had updated to the newer version of the app mid-week.

It is possible the upgrade may have fixed the issue, but please do let us know if you come across it again, and any steps you can remember that may have caused it if you do.

No, it's not possible. I bought the app today, and the first time I tried to score it, the play-by-play went all the way down the right side of the screen. I deleted that game and started over and it fixed the problem.

You should not have had to delete the game. If you had exited out of the App and gone back in, the screen should have drawn itself correctly. What we really need are steps to reproduce any issues people come across so we can see them happen and reproduce them. If we can not do that, we can not know when they have been fixed. Thank you.
