I tried to change a uniform number while scoring a game and it kept kicking me out when I either entered new number or backspace. Acted like I was hitting cancel/enter.

I am unable to repeat your issue. I able to change jersey numbers routinely while scoring a game. .. As there are a variety of different keystroke ways to can change a jersey number while scoring a game, please describe what way you are doing and we can see if we can replicate..

Can you provide the keystrokes you used that would not work, so support can investigate. I do not recall seeing this reported as an issue on the forum lately.

• here are 4 different ways i can think of off the top of my head.. you may have used another . all 4 'save' for me.
• Scoring a game > tap the batter icon, > tap blue Arrow for player > type # in player number field > tap save > tap save
• Scoring a game > tap the fielder icon, > tap blue Arrow for player > type # in player number field> tap save > tap save or
• Scoring a game > tap MISC menu > select Show Starting Line Up > select Home|Visitor > Tap Player X (opens up Player info window) > type in player number > tap save > tap done
• Scoring a game > tap MISC menu > select Show Starting Line Up > select Home|Visitor > Tap left of Player X name (enables jersey # entry)) > type in player number > tap return > tap done

Also helpful to know what model device you are using (iPhone 7, Android galaxy, phone or tablet etc). And confirm you are using the latest version of App from download store (i.e. no update pending for iScore baseball).

I was using Iscore on IPAD
score game->show lineup->click on player->click on number box->either highlight number or backspace->enter new number

What I was seeing is as soon as I change keypad to numeric or hit backspace it jumps out of the player information window. Its strange because I just tried it a couple of times and worked fine, then tried again and it didn't work. This is what happened at the games.

unfortunately, I still can not replicate your issue. (sorry). Here is what i did

• IPad2> Main Scoring Screen > tap MISC button> select Show Starting Line Up > tap a player's name> opens PLAYER INFO screen > tap in Player Number field > enter number > SAVE

the only time i can not get the jersey number to save is if i intentionally, do not hit 'save' (upper right button) but instead hit return to '<-Lineup' (upper left button) . (but this is of course by design)

• (I tested on iPad gen 2, in portrait and landscape , light and dark modes, I tested toggling Alpha/numeric, upper/ lower case, and backspace keys significantly. I tried both sets left and right of space bar, I tried with and without using 'return' on Keyboard and tried with and with out using hide keyboard key, I even tried the paste and scissors icons. - Nothing caused an unintentional closure of keyboard and jumping out of the Player info screen .

FYI on an iPad you have another method in addition to those described before for changing a jersey number from scoring screen,

• On a tablet that shows both teams line ups on the main scoring screen, you can directly tap on player in line up window from main scoring screen and change player info

• on main scoring screen (iPad) > tap a player in the line up boxes > player info box pops up > tap in number box field, > back space or type #> orange save button appears > tap save, > tap outside the player info box >

again, Sorry , i can not replicate your issue, if you can find a pattern and post back great. otherwise we will have to see if support finds something or just live with it,

luckily on an iPad you have multiple ways to change jersey numbers from scoring screen, and a couple that are less keystrokes than using "show line up"

.. couple additional points

#1) when you said you tapped on Player Number field, you mentioned using the backspace key... when i tap on Player Number field in player info window, the number goes away on tap (and "enter player number" appears) without using any backspace key (be it a 1 or 2 digit number). this is different than in first and last name fields, that do not wipe on tap, instead insert cursor to edit.

• Please verify how your version is behaving, if it is not wiping Player number field on tap, it may lend a clue to issue.

#2) what number of jersey are you trying to enter? (normal is one or two digit, numeric, but not alpha, it will hold leading zero if you want too , e.g. "00" or "01")

• FYI - 3 digit jersey numbers can be used but not advised, I stumbled across a 'quark' on iOS devices (phone or tablet) . When you try and enter and save a 3 digit jersey number, it reduces the first number by one on save (example, enter 333, it will save as 233, enter 976, it will save as 876, - consistently) . Again two digit numbers are what you should use for baseball and stumbled across this oddity.
