Question about runner advancing assumptions

Situation: no outs, runner on 1b. Batter grounds out 4-3, runner advances to 2b.
I touch-then-swipe the out button and select 4-3 ground out.
I then have to say it was a ground out and mark the spot the ball went to.
Then, I have to say that the runner from 1b is safe at 2b, advanced by batter.
2 questions:
1) Why doesn't iScore already have ground out selected after I select 4-3 ground out? It seems to default to whatever the previous out was.
2) Why doesn't iScore already have the runner from 1b at 2b so I can just select the advanced by batter option?
It's not a bit deal to hit the extra buttons but I keep wondering about these things.
Thanks.
