HELP NEEDED - Extra batter (#10) not caught in time (answered)

This is a SOFTBALL question. I keep the official score for my daughter's HS games, and I'm usually in a rush to get line ups ahead of time. Last night, I didn't realize that a 10th batter was 'turned on' until the lead off batter came up again, 2nd time through the line up (a couple innings later.) Not only is the data now incorrect for the batters following that incorrect batter, but I had to skip a batter to make the order correct again (so now that player doesn't show an 'at bat.')

I cannot figure out a way, through Pitch by Pitch or anything else, to 'turn off' that incorrect/#10 batter or TO make that 'at bat' go away, so the following batting stats are reflected correctly. I need to get the stats turned in ASAP. Thanks for your help!

The scoring is done based on lineup positions. Once you have scored the game, there is not a way to make the lineup position go away. You can change who was in that lineup position, but you can not retroactively change that. If you notice at game time, you can undo and add/remove a batting position, and continue scoring as normal. At this point, your options are:

1. Manually adjust stats for the incorrect batter (if it only happened once and you were able to skip the rest of the game, this may not be too bad)

2. You can use "offensive substitutions" up to the point that you skipped a batter to move everyone to the spot they batted in, then sub them back after the skip batter (this can get quite messy).

3. You can rescore the game. This takes about 15 minutes for an experienced iscore user to re-score a full game using the pitch by pitch data available on the website or scorecast.

This is very helpful. I'll try #1 and see how that goes; if I don't like the result, I'll go with #3. I didn't think about exporting it to the website to use that to help me rescore. Great idea. Thanks a million.

Unfortunately, not getting the number of batters correct in the batting order , is one of the hardest mistakes to recover from ..

here is some additional tips to augment Support's advice

For Option #1.. Manual Stat adjustment - here is a FAQ link with more detail on " How to make edits after a game.. " http://iscoresports.com//baseball/kb/fa ... _edits.php

For Option 2 - "substitutions".. often harder than Option 1 and 3, for " missing 10th batter" , b/c it often happened early on in the game. I would encourage you to try option 1 or 3 first.

Option 3, complete Re Score,
Do not underestimate, It sounds daunting at first, but often it is really easier and faster than you think
- a couple real world tips, to help you out.
1) email your self the info of the original scored game. put it up on a computer screen next to your handheld device, and re score
* Pitch by Pitch ( Game Manager > Game Info Screen > Select Pitch by Pitch / Edit game > Email) and
* PDF score card Game Manager > Game Info Screen > Email > include Scorecard (both teams)
2) do not delete the original game from your device until you are satisfied with your re score
