How do I remove a players photo?

I've tried deleting the photo from the device, i've tried deleting it from the admin website, i've tried re-importing my data from a backup, i've tried uploading a different file to the admin site (which didn't seem to upload or work), I have finally replaced the image on my device with a different one but don't want an image at all.

I don't want to risk merging a player with a new one, and don't have a transparent image (whatever that is) to use.

So how do I remove a players image?

Fixed it.

What I did...
1) I changed the original players name to "Bill(orig) Williams"
2) I created a new player with the same name as the original "Bill Williams"
3) I merged the original name into the new name (left: new name right: original name)
This removed the image.

To test, I restored the backup (import).
This caused the player with the image to return.

So I...
a) repeated the name merge process(steps 1 -3 above)
b) preformed a backup (export)
c) checked the admin site to make sure the image was gone
d) preformed an import
e) checked everything
It appears to be correct with the stats seemingly correct, spray charts correct, etc.

I still need to work on (or fix) the iScorecasts, but I know I can simply delete them and then synchronize them back to the site and all should be well (at worst I can just delete them without care).

How could this be prevented?
When adding an image on the device, don't upload it until the user says export. In that way you don't corrupt the previous backup (or player database).
Alternately or in addition too; add a damn delete image option.
