That gibberish is an XML format that Excel recgonizes (at least newer versions of Excel). For Open Office, we would suggest using the CSV files.

We believe it has been determined that iScorecast must currently be enabled for Tweets to go out. The reason for this is we initially used Twittercast as a method to announce the iScorecast games (so people had a way to know when and where to go to view the iScorecast). We will be making it so iScorecast being enabled is not required for the next release. In the meantime, if you enable iScorecast, your tweets should go out.

Thank you.
Hi,

I'm quite sure both iScorecast and Tweets are enabled, prior to game start. Still no success with tweets (my configs detailed in note, this thread above) that did work previously. ISB only Tweets that fail me. Team parents REALLY dig Tweets, so hope a fix coming soon!

Running Windows XP and Office 2007, I was able to get the stat.xls file to open, if I changed the extension to .xml.

With install of ISB 2.41.67, export to .xls, Excel returns dialog box "HTML Import Errors, Strict Parse Error." It then presents another dialog box, inviting it to be opened as text. Excel then opens the file as some form of internal Excel code. I'll provide the file direct and offline for Tech Supp to inspect.

Best!
UPDATE:
Same config as noted in my earlier post. Just tried .xls again with newest ISB 2.60.81. Same "parse error". Will make do with .csv files, but really hope this issue will be addressed in coming updates.

PS: THANKS for LOB added to line score!

FYI,

Just tried a change of file extension from .xls to .xml, opening with Mac Excel 2004. Failed with same "parse error" when .xls. Possible original is mistagged as .xls in the first place, and 2004-2008 converters aren't operating as they do routinely with other Wintel 2008 files?

For Mac Excel, you need version 2008 to open the Excel file. You can open the CSV files just fine in any version of Mac Excel however.
