Do the following:
1. Start a game
2. First batter hits a single so you press the single button and tell it where it was hit. The player is replaced with a courtesy runner. But there is no button displayed for courtesy runner but if you hit the 'second' button (as if the batter went to second) but then change back 'first', the courtesy runner button magically appears!
3. Hit the courtesy runner button and select a player and save.
4. Next batter hits a home run.
5. Look at stats! The first batter now has 2 PAs, two ABs and two hits - even has a home run! The HR hitter gets nothing!
Why is the courtesy and pinch runner buttons not displayed after hit but is if you hit the SECOND button?

Re: Curtesy runner screws up stats
The procedure I use for courtesy runner is to touch the runner, in your case on first. Courtesy runner will show up in the bottom right corner opposite pinch runner.

Re: Curtesy runner screws up stats
danmcc has it right... player hits a single, play over. Now touch the runner on first and the Courtesy Runner and Pinch Runner appears. Those buttons should not be appearing until you complete entry of the first play. If you have found a way to make them appear by tapping Second, then tapping First again during the same play as the hit, then that is a bug we will have to fix, and the consequences of doing those steps are undefined.
In the future, enter your single, when it asks what happened to the runner on first, tap "Held Up". Then tap the runner on first and do your courtesy or pinch runner.

Re: Curtesy runner screws up stats
After you record the hit location, you must press "safe","First",and then "held up" (of course, safe and first are probably already selected, held up is the one I think you're omitting). Once the screen goes back to the main screen, you tap the runner and select courtesy runner. You must treat these as separate occurrences.

Yes, I understand exactly what I'm omitting. I know how to make it work. That's not the point. The point is there is a bug that needs to be fixed and I'm describing how I got it into the ditch. That's all I'm saying.coop85 wrote:held up is the one I think you're omitting.
Re: Curtesy runner screws up stats
Mpettitt, I misunderstood your post. I recreated the issue and see that the stats stay with the batter hitting the single. Seems like a bug, but I will defer to FTM. I assume since the held up button wasn't pressed the software doesn't move on to the next batter even though batter 2 is at the plate. Good catch.
Re: Curtesy runner screws up stats
Looks like ftm now has it on it's bug fix list....Neither the pinch runner nor curtesy runner button should appear at that time, the buttons should only appear after the initial event is finished. This is a bug.FTMSupport wrote:

That said, for others reading, wheni done correctly, the stats do work fine in curreent version.
