How to edit run scored
How to edit run scored
I was scoring a game today and incorrectly thought 2 runners scored on a play, instead of only 1. When I went to the play by play screen to try to fix this, it would only let me edit why the run scored, it wouldn't let me change the fact that the run scored at all (the out and all bases except home were teeter out). Is this a bug in the program or am I doing something wrong?

Re: How to edit run scored
Post game editing does not allow changing a run to not be a run. You have to use undo to make a change like this. Anything that changes the outcome of a play you must use undo. You can use editing to change how an out was made or how the run scored, but not change a run to not a run or an out to not an out for example. We will continue working on allowing more types of edits for future releases.

Re: How to edit run scored
Thanks for the reply. I'd certainly like the ability to fix this type of thing. It happened in the top of the first, so it would have required me to "undo" the entire game. I didn't find out my mistake until I compared books in the third. And to clarify my original post, I hadn't realized my phone had auto-corrected my attempt to type "greyed" into "teeter" (kind of surprised "teeter" is even in the auto-correct dictionary).

Re: How to edit run scored
Has this editing been made available? I have a scoring error that occurred in the first inning of a game. I have not ended the game so it is still active. Can this mistake be corrected?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: How to edit run scored
Depending on what the scoring error is, you can make corrections by going to the Pitch by Pitch view from the Game Info screen under Game Manager, and make your changes there.

Re: How to edit run scored
With each version of iscore, there has been an increase in allowed editing. And ftm has said they play to continue to allow more editing in the future.
But to the question, no, the most current version 2.7 still does not let you make game changing event ..... although that sounds constraining... For a number of reasons i have found the built in restrictions for the most part to have more pros than cons.
Although you can expect more editable items in the future, I would not count on it ever becoming 100 percent editable..
