Update Roster from Lineup

Post by TexasRebel » Thu May 20, 2010 11:21 am

I don't know if this is an issue or an enhancement...

When the "update roster from lineup" button is pressed, the players all go back to their original place in the roster, and the lineup is now out of order...

I put in a skeleton lineup on the team roster so I don't have to find an drag all of the common players to the top for every game, enter positions and indicate that they are batting... If there is a major change, due to injury for example, where one of those player gets permanently substituted, using the "update roster from lineup" button keeps the batters/fielders, but scrambles the lineup.

Would it be possible to have it leave the batters/fielders at the top of the roster in lineup order?

also... what do DP and flex mean under "batting"?

When i use "update roster from line up", the Team Roster now mimics the game roster in order. by design. I have not expereinced that jumbling the specific game lineup as you say. Is that what you mean? the button is suppose to update roster, from lineup.

DP and flex are standard terms in fastpitch softball. Search other thread for more detailed info.. it is somewhat like a DH in baseball, but more complicated. Standard lingo for fast pitch

Correction.. I was wrong in my previous post.

I now am experienceing abnormal behavior in "Update Roster From Lineup" also...

Using Update Roster from Line up, seems to be updateing information (name, number ...) from line up to roster as expected... but the sort order is not as expected. It is jumbled.

I am pretty sure it use to work , perhaps something in last update

FTM. please look into this and weigh in....

I forgot to explain:

it scrambles the lineup by putting the roster in alphabetical order. That is fine for the non-lineup players, but it would be nice for the lineup to stay in order at the top. It sounds like this was an issue and not an enhancement afterall.

Different symptoms. The thread here is about the unexpected "jumble" of the Roster in Game Manager when you select the specific option "Update Roster from Line Up". This is very different than the behavior you reported in the other post regarding the batting line up changing unexpectedly between innings ...

As to the Jumble Roster issue.. still pending FTM reasearch into it and comment...
