Hi,
I input another team's lineup and, during play, I realized the coach placed his sub in the wrong position on the lineup card. I went to starting lineup and removed the player, but the system would not recognize the correction. For the first inning, it shows an additional player and threw off the lineup for the remainder of the game. Is there a way to correct this?
Thanks.

Re: Lineup Issue
iScore scores according to lineup position. If you scored the full inning into the next inning with the wrong number of players in the lineup, then that can not be corrected without re-scoring. If you scored with the correct number of players, and they were just in the wrong order, then you can go to Game Manager, select the game, select Pitch by Pitch, tap Game Starts, tap Edit next to Starting Lineup, and you can rearrange the players as needed.

Re: Lineup Issue
FTM, this is a great point that you make and to the casual user many not understand how powerful that capability is. I have been using iScore for years and LOVE it but those brief few moments between the handshake at the plate and the ump calling "play ball" is extremely hectic and stressful for the scorekeeper to get it right (home vs away, roster size of the opponent, how many batters, etc). Some coaches like to keep this "secret" until the very end! I think it would be great if you created either a sticky or possibly even a video on how to manage these few critical moments for the scorekeeper in a game. In my case we play a lot of travel ball where the same players move from team to team so rosters are dynamic. Here is my current flow which has improved over the years but still has issues. Any recommendations on how to refine this would be great. I think the information you provided about "lineup position" and "edit game starts" could help with my flow...
The discover team option is huge. We play a lot of USSSA teams and being able to download the roster with uniform numbers saves a ton of time. The problem is then reduced to which players on the published roster are actually playing and of those playing, how many are batting? To clarify the point you made below about "iscore scoring by line-up position (batting order)..." What can change in the roster after scoring starts without compromising the integrity and having to re-score the game later. Here are a few scenarios I frequently encounter and could use some help.
Example 1) I have downloaded a team's roster with 20 players. They brought 12 players to the game and are batting 9. I make sure that I only have 9 players batting in the initial lineup but due to time crunch, I am not able to get the players in the right order and one of the players I have listed as batting, isn't batting but one of the players I have marked as a sub is batting. All players are initially in the wrong order. Can I use the edit Game Starts feature to clean all these up between innings? (drag and drop player order, correct who is batting and who isn't, remove players who were on the downloaded roster but aren't at this game, add any new players who weren't on the Discovered roster). When do these edits need to be complete? ie, before I bat through the order once? Anytime before I do an offensive substitution?
Example 2) If i'm not able to "discover" the team I use the quick roster feature. As long as I have the correct number of batters in the roster, can I replace the "default quick roster" names with players who already exist in the player manager list using the edit "Game Starts" feature between innings? Similarly as above, how far into the game can I make these edits until it compromises the scoring?
Thanks again for the great app and support!

Re: Lineup Issue
In your first scenario, as long as you have 9 players with Batting = YES, you can actually use Misc -> Show Starting lineup and correct the order at any time. As long as you are not adding to the number of players with batting = YES, rearranging is not an issue. (NOTE: Do not try and do substitutions here... this is just rearranging the starting lineup). We do this all the time when scoring games.. we know the players and don't know the batting order, so just rearrange the starting lineup as players come up to bat. The key is to make sure that when the first batter comes up a second time, you do not have additional (or too few) players set to batting = YES.
In second scenario, same thing. You can edit the player and names / rearrange at any time... just be sure that when the top of the lineup is reached, you have everything sorted out so you are not entering at bats in additional lineup positions.
