I'm a new user, so I may be doing something incorrect...
I used Team Manager to build the 40-man roster for the StL Cardinals and the SFGiants, so that I could score their series. After completing both rosters, I created a new game in Game Manager, and set my lineup by choosing batting=yes for the starters on each team, and dragged them into the correct order.
Once my lineups were created, I started the game, and immediately saw that the wrong pitcher was being shown. I have no idea why, he is ACTIVE, but batting=no for him.
This had happened 3 games in a row, it always shows the wrong starting pitcher. In between games I went back to Team Manager and verified that I didn't have him set to bat... He wasn't in the starting lineup , so I have no idea why the app keeps selecting and showing this pitcher.
Every game it shows the DAME wrong pitcher, but I have no idea why. (For the Cardinals, the pitcher that it always shows is Randy Choate, who isn't even a starter...)
I can click Choates name during the game and substitute for him... But then my final scorecard shows that Choate started and was immediately replaced, ad expected.
But I can't for the life of me figure out why it keeps showing the wrong again pitcher.
Any advice?
Thanks

So...I'm going to relate it to little league baseball, as that is how I use the app...
Generally speaking....when you hit play, and the lineups show up for both teams...You should select the starting player for each position, including the pitcher.
Then you click done.
When you click play! in the bottom left to start the game...the player assigned in the Pitcher position will register as the starter.
If you click play! with no one listed as the starter it may be defaulting to Choate...for some other reason...

The Starting Pitcher is determined by the Starting Lineup. The first player that has a Position= Pitcher in the Starting Lineup will be your starting pitcher (regardless of whether Batting =YES or Batting = NO). You would sub during the game by tapping on the pitcher position when the team is in the field, and it will ask who the new pitcher should be. you would not use the Starting Lineup to do the substitutions as that will change the starting pitcher.

Re: wrong pitcher always shown on scorecard during scoring
this is one I get caught on constantly. The team manager stores the roster but once a game is created you have to adjust the batting order and positions in the "starting lineup" specifically for the game you created and you can't do this going back into team manager because your changes there won't show up in a game already created. You can adjust your starting lineup in the created game right away after you hit "play" by hitting "Lineup" before you start the game or if you miss something you can always readjust by going to "Misc" and "show starting lineup" during the game. Plus if you really miss something for the whole game you can go to the start of pitch by pitch and adjust the starting lineup after the game is over. I end up doing both of those a lot because I don't have access to the coaches pregame lineup sheets and score the games for my own enjoyment on the fly.
If your team does finally settle on a routine line up, you can always copy the starting lineup from a game back to your roster in team manager. Then it is basically set for the next game you create with that team. That sort of helped me out until the coach started juggling the line up a lot during the last couple weeks of the season and then I was having to make wholesale changes in the starting lineup after the game was created and copying back to my roster in team manager did no good because it was always considerably different the next game.
This is what I think might really be giving you trouble though: if you forget to check no position on a player previously listed at that position and do have two players listed as playing the same position such as both the new starting pitcher and the pitcher from the game before or the person you have listed as pitcher in your team manager roster, iscore usually picks the player from the game before or the one in your team manager roster as the one it shows on the field. Easy enough to go to "show starting lineup" under "misc" and correct this even though the game has already started. You don't want to correct by using the changing position feature or you will get an incorrect substitution. Hope I didn't confuse the issue more, I'm doing most from memory so I hope I got the quotations named correctly, plus I do my scoring on an android phone.
