if we trade a player call Tom from Team A to Team B, will the stats automatically follow this player in his new team?

If not,
I was thinking of creating a new player in the Player Manager call "Sony" and add him in Team B Roster
then, merge Tom from Team A into Sony in Team B from the Player Manager,
will that delete Tom from the Player Manager? If not, can I delete him myself knowing the stats where saved under Sony?

If Tom has been deleted from the Player Manager and,
if a create a new player in the Player Manager and call him Tom and save this "new Tom" in Team B Roster,
will it be possible to merge Sony back into the new Tom now in Team B... hoping this move will permit to trade Tom to a new team with his Stats

If you view the Player Card, it would show the player's stats for all teams he is on. But when viewing Team Stats, it would only show stats the player earned while on that team.
