Players missing

Post by LarryKoch » Tue Feb 18, 2014 9:51 pm

I cleaned up last years stuff by deleting the app then re-installing it after exporting it to the web server. I then copied my two test teams (Test 1 and Test 2) from the web server to my newly installed app. I have the test teams in a league named "X-test". I check "teams" and they were both there. I checked the team rosters and they each contained by 9 test players. I then checked "player manager" and there were no players. I then added a third team named "Test 3" and used the quick roster option. Again I can find the team, the team roster has all 9 players but when I go to the "Player manager" tab there are still no players.

I then created a game using Test 1 and Test 2. The rosters appeared as normal.

Bottom line, I cannot find any players in the Player manager tab. The only leagues I have are "All", "Default" and "X-test". I have turned all three on and still not payers.

I the exported my new files to the web server. (this wiped out all of last years data which I wanted to do.)
I then logged on to the web server. I can find the game I created and all three teams. I can find the players in the rosters for each team but I can find no players under the player tab.

I am using an iPad Air with iOS 7. Cust ID B8420F99B4

This is by design. When you use Quick Roster, the players will not show in Player Manager by default. Otherwise you would wind up with tons of "Player 1"s for example.

To make a player appear in Player Manager, edit their name in the Team Roster and the player will then appear in Player Manager.

OK. Makes sense. But I was surprised that when I brought a team over from the web server that the players didn't show up in the Player Manager. Not a problem. I'll get them off the USSSA web site.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Quick roster players 'player 1, player 2'.. won't show up
In player manager ... But if you later find out the players named and edit their name on the roster from generic player 1 to john smith, etc , the new name will show up in player manager
