Player disappears during play

I set up a game, and have the line ups done. For my team I have entered the defensive positions of all the players.

First batter walks.
Second batter walks.
Both advance one base on a passed ball.
Third batter walks.
Fourth batter hits a fly single to left field.
First and second batters reach home on the hit. Third batter stops at second. Fourth batter holds up at first.
Fifth batter strikes out looking.
Sixth batter hits a fielder's choice to shortstop. Runner from second is tagged out, then the ball is thrown to centre fielder covering second base for a double play, runner from first is out.

The problem is that when I enter the play to shortstop, with the double play, the app records the shortstop as "unknown" and the double play goes to a player who is sitting, rather than the Center fielder.

I tried restarting the app. I tried restarting the iPad mini. I have created the game right from scratch and went through it all, shortstop still disappears and now it credits the first baseman with the double play instead of the Center fielder.

In play>fielder's choice>marK position of hit (to ss), grounder >select players involved in making the outs (none)>what happened to the runner on second? (Tagged out)>who was involved in making the outs (6-8)>what happened to the runner on first? (Double play)>what happened to the batter (held up at first)

We had a tournament this weekend. I enter the games from paper after they are played, and I have four to get done, this is really holding me up, please help.

It sounds like you are missing either starting player positions or substitutions. Be sure to do the substitutions on the pitch prior to the play actually occurring. You can fix starting lineup positions and missed substitutions by following the instructions at the following link from our FAQ:

No I'm not. This is the top of the first inning of the game. The player number shows in the shortstop position before I start entering the play. There have been no substitutions.

If you can do an Options -> Export and email your customer ID and which game / inning / player / pitch you are seeing the issue with, we can look at your data to see what is going on.

Doesn't it figure. I had deleted the game, so I went and created it (for the third time) and it seems to have worked properly.
