Game Timer

Post by MookDaddy333 » Thu Apr 18, 2013 4:53 pm

I had an issue while scoring a game tonight:

Due to a 5-run rule, I hit "Misc.", and then accidentally hit "End Game" instead of "End Inning". I realized it right away and was able to undo before missing any plays so all was good. But the game clock stayed at 46min (the game time when the mistake had occurred) for the rest of the game instead of continuing to progress. It did however update the time once I ended the game again, legitimately this time.

If you exit out of the game completely after doing this, and go back in, the clock will resume counting again. When you use undo after an End Game, iScore assumes you are just making edits, so the clock is not restarted. If you Undo the end game, exit out of the scoring screen and go back in, then it thinks you are resuming scoring and will count again.

So since I didn't leave the scoring screen at all, was it supposed to update the time when I ended the game the second time?

Yes, game time will still be end time - start time. But the in game scoring logic does not know to restart the live clock once the game has been ended without exiting.
