change language and another issue

Post by FrankPereiro » Mon Apr 08, 2013 7:53 am

Hi there,

You should know that the spanish language translation is just plain horrible. I would like to change the language to english.

Another thing.

I can not find how to record a play where an infielder catches the ball cleanly and the other fielder drops the ball. The official score is an assist and an error.

I hope you can bring some light on these two issues .

Greetings !!!

Welcome to the board.

Enable advanced scoring in settings. This will give you ability to score the play including assist and error.

From the user manual, which you can find the link to in my signature:

Scorekeeper Level - Setting this to Advanced allows you to score some situations that many scorekeepers do not care to capture. Turning on advanced will give a few more options when scoring plays. For example, when scoring an Error, you can select whether it is a Fielding or Throwing error. It also allows you to score situations where a fielder should get an assist even when a putout is not made (e.g. SS throws to 1B, but 1B drops the ball. SS gets an assist in this scenario.) Also, on running plays it will ask you if the error should have resulted in an out. This will help more accurately determine ERA. If you are scoring for youth games or are new to scorekeeping, leaving this in Basic mode will keep things as simple as possible.

If you can make suggestions for the Spanish version, we can make updates to it. We had someone give us the translations for Spanish, so if it can be improved, we would love to do that. You can send the suggestions to our email at support@iscoresports.com.

Thanks for the quick reply. I will edit the play where I missed the asssist.on the error.

About the Spanish translation, I can help you with that, but I need to run the app in English so I know what I need to.translate for you .

You don't need to translate the entire app, just a few things. Spanish speaking fans.are ok with the.terminology in English.

See, the Spanish translation is so bad that it.doesn't make any sense, most of it.

Could you tell me where is it that I can set the language? Thank you...

Greetings!!!

It would use the language of the device. If you set the language of your actual Android device to English, then iScore will display in English as well. It would be under the Settings somewhere (each Android device is a little different, so we can't give exact steps).

Maybe for the next release you could give users the option of choosing the lenguaje, at least until the translation is being done ...

I will try to send you the translation as soon as possible...
