Incorrect batting stats after skipping batter whole game

Post by reggie_hammonds » Tue Oct 20, 2009 5:41 pm

I was told by my son's coach that one or two more players might be showing up later in the game. I kept them in the line up, in the correct order of batting and showed them batting. After two at bats with everyone on the team and neither player showed up (I skipped them using skip batter) I checked the batting stats and everyone's batting stats was once off. I know because my son was the only one that hit a triple on his team and the triple showed up on the player under him. There was one of the skipped batters above him in the line up. It sucks to realize after 4 innings that the stats will show wrong. I'm trying to keep as much stats as possible for the draft in the spring for LL.

If you can export your database (Options menu, Export) and send us your customer ID (bottom left of Options menu) to support@fasterthanmonkeys.com, we can take a look to see what happened with the stats. There is no reason this should not work unless you went in after the game and deleted a player from the lineup or something. Please include details of which game/player to look at when you export and email us.

Thank you.

I think I know what I did wrong. After the player left the game, instead of skipping him I think I changed him to "no" on batting from "yes". I realize now that was the wrong way to do it and I'm guessing that would throw off the batting stats?

Yes, that would throw off the batting stats. If a batter has batted, and is not going to bat again, and is also not being substituted for, then you would need to use Skip Batter to have him not bat on future at bats.

and of course with skip batter you have the option to take an out or not.

glad to hear the issue was figured out, setting to "no bat" would do that. I have managed many games with players coming and going using skip batter and have not had the stat issue.
