Import Issues

Post by DSZiomek » Sat Mar 16, 2013 2:06 am

I'm trying to import stats from 2 previous seasons using external Data.

First problem is the product has different pages of stats which skews the stats. ie - if I enter 4 sets of batting stats then the PA is quadrupled. So I was just going to live with having the basics. Then, when I imported the stats, some of the players were duplicated (I checked the csv file and it was fine). So i was importing and deleting a few times trying to figure out how to resolve that issue. Now, it will not import at all. After I go through the import process, there is no game with import stats.

Our coach wants those stats available - I don't want to stay with the current product - can you help?

Thanks

I figured out how to get it to import. I went to maintenance and optimized the database.

But, it is still importing incorrectly. One player is listed twice under game stats and another player is missing. When I look at player stats, the player that was missing from the import has no stats but the doubled player does not have doubled stats.

I tried it both with letting it start a new player or selecting the correct player - same result. The data in the csv file is correct.

Any ideas?

It looks like you entered the question, then figured out importing, but now have duplicate players? You can use the "Merge" option to combine duplicates back into a single player. Go to Player Manager, tap the Merge button (or select Menu -> Merge if on Android), then select the duplicates in the left + right lists and you can merge them into a single player.
