App Crash - changed pitcher orientation
App Crash - changed pitcher orientation
Last night we played a team that we weren't schedule to play; one of those quick and dirty situations. I quickly entered the other team's lineup by just creating new players with their jersey number and no name (I do that occasionally and doesn't seem to cause a problem). When they took the field, I just assigned the pitcher to his position and no other players so I can see how many balls and strikes each of their pitchers throw. However, I noticed their pitcher was a lefty, so I went back in the substitution screen, drilled into the player screen and changed him to lefty/lefty. When I hit save, the app crashed. When I went back in, the values I had already entered were saved (game had not been started yet) even the lefty/lefty change was saved. I was able to reproduce the crash each time I went through this process. Not a big deal, but crashes scare me; especially when I am the official.

What type of device are you using, and are you using the most recent version of iScore on that device (version number can be found on the title screen in iScore)? We would like to try and reproduce this, but need to know what device to test with and whether this is possibly something that has already been fixed in a newer version.

Hmm... we are unable to reproduce this issue on the latest version of iScore on the iPad. If you can do an Options -> Export and let us know which game / player was involved and we can undo that game on a device here to see if we can reproduce the crash.
Sometimes random crashes can occur due to memory issues (not iScore specific... over time, other apps will leave memory behind that occasionally requires you to restart the device). Here is a link that describes this situation and how to reboot the device:
