Updating Stats

Post by Cjohnson » Sat Nov 19, 2011 2:11 pm

How can I change the stats in a game after the play or the game has ended. Sometimes, after a discussion with the coach, we need to change what was originally input into iscore. I can change the numbers on the stat page, but if I recalculate, the original stats reappear. Is there any way they can be changed?

Don't hit recalculate and your changes will be saved. "recalculate" is for re-doing the stats after FTM says they have changed the way iScore calculates (say they made a mistake in calculating a stat - you would go bad to the game, after getting a new version of iScore, and hit "recalculate.").

You can also go to the pitch by pitch for the game and make most edits right there and stats will be updated accordingly.

you want to do pitch by pitch editing for most corrections (i.e. changing a hit to an error or visa versa.) For the few edits you can not do in pitch by pitch (i.e. change a run scored or a few other game changing edits) you can edit the stats directly as you have done in the past. Just remember NOT to hit recalc or it will go back to original data.

FYI - by editing in pitch by pitch you are actually changing original data, so it would not be lost by an accidental recalc.
