v3.40, iPhone: Location of hits gone crazy!

First guys, thanks for the update. It's got a lot of neat stuff in it.

But I've just noticed a strange problem. Though I indicate hit location after every base hit, I noticed that when batters came up for their next at bat, their hits from their first at bat (if they had one) were now in the wrong place. It seems most of the hits, no matter where they actually fell, are now shown as going down the first base line all the way to the outfield wall!

But wait… it gets even weirder. I exit the game to go to PITCH-BY-PITCH to "fix" the hit locations and place the hits where they were supposed to be. Only I can't! No matter where I put my finger on the playing field (short LF, grounder to 3B, etc.) the ball magically moves itself in a beeline all the way down the first base line!

Weird, wacky stuff.

If you can do an Options -> Export from your device and email us your customer ID, and give us an example of a player to look at, we can take a look. We have definitely not seen this issue, and have been scoring regularly with this latest release for weeks now.

Did anything else about your device change?

I'm having the exact same problem. Playing a new team that we've never faced before. A girl grounds out to 2nd base for a fielder's choice her first time up, but then then next time up it shows her hitting the ball to the fence for a fielder's choice. I also went into the pitch-by-pitch to see what would happen. I tap a spot between first and second and the "ball" just zips out to deep right field. Crazy.

One other note. It seems the farther toward left field I place the hit, the farther to the right iScore wants to place the ball. That includes going deep into right field foul territory. However, if I place it into foul territory near 3rd base, it sticks it up the middle.

I've made no changes to my iPod Touch, other than this update.

FTM - do you have any insights yet if this is a systemic issue or one off problems??

We have not been able to reproduce it using the customer data on our own devices. We have tried with a variety of hardware and OS versions.

I don't use the iPhone version, but I've accidentally hit the hit location again going to hit the done button and it makes the ball foul near where the done button is.
