Email stats

Post by Paulsilas » Sat Apr 02, 2011 7:35 am

I am trying to email stats from the game info screen to my email address - it says it has been sent, but nothing is showing up in my mail. It is a test game that I have been using for several weeks to try out various aspects of teh program.

I have tried several times, with all the options checked "on" and also just the scorecard

I am running the latest version

FYI to those reading. normally emails come through in like a minute...

that said, over the last year or so on some occasions there has been substantial lag..from minutes to hours.... when that has happened it has been ISP related, sometimes on FTM servers but more often it seems due to users email/ ISP servers.. when a number of users start experiencing email lag and let the forum/FTM know, they usually check there side quickly and let us in the forum know if systemic on their end or not. (normally not). But continue to post when you have bad experience, so it can be looked into..

I am having an issue with emailing my stats. Does it just take that long or is there something wrong?

I just sent myself a stat email and received it promptly within a minute.. So at least at 7:15 eastern, FTM servers (an aol mail) working fine for me...

The obvious trouble shooting points to check
- good Internet connectivity
- correct email address (right spelling and space, not common, between multiple addresses)
- check spam filters

Sorry nothing very insightful.. Just the standard double checks...

Since I started this topic this morning, I emailed the stats (of the game referred to originally) multiple times and it only came through once - a couple before and a couple after the one I DID get did not go through. Just scorred a MLB game for practice and emailed the stats - been about 20 minutes and still nothing. Still nothing from the earlier email tries from earlier this morning. Did not go into Spam filters.

Just Sent an email from my phone to a different email address, so connectiveity not a problem. I also emailed the stats to a different email address, and they haven't cpme through there either, though it may be earlier

Any other ideas??

No idea. Think we will have to wait on ftm to poll their servers..

We have experienced users having trouble..

perhaps a common @domain mail company. My @aol.com worked fine...
