Game Start Notification

Post by chriso17 » Fri Mar 14, 2014 11:40 am

Great software. Have used iscore and others extensively. Love iscore's stats and leagues (over others).

On another, I can easily follow local highschool teams and get automatic notification and mid-inning updates via text. I configure everything on my end just by searching for a team.

On iscore, if I don't know the highschool teams ID, I can't follow them. That's not always easy to find.

But when I do find it, then I need their twitter info to get game start notifications and end of inning tweets. Many high school coaches don't know what twitter is or don't know how to turn it on.

So my request is to make it easier to find local teams.
And more importantly, to make it easier to get automatic game start notifications and updates (either via twitter or text).

Thanks,
Chris

Users can visit http://iscoretv.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; to view and find live games in addition to getting the information from the teams. We do leave it up to the scorekeepers to share their customer ID with those that they want to be able to view all games from their device however.

Yes, we support Twitter, and we do not support SMS. SMS is a one -> one communication and Twitter is a one -> many which is more inline with broadcasting. That being said, you can subscribe to any Twitter feed with any phone that supports texting pretty easily as well. The scorekeeper would just create a new twitter account for your team, and enter that into iScore. Those with Twitter can follow that and get the updates, or if a user does not have a twitter account, they can follow using their text messaging by following the instructions here:

If the teams have a team website, you can also search for them here:

http://iscorebaseball.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
