Extra Inning rules for youth baseball

Is there a way to add a runner to a base without officially batting in the inning? We played an extra inning game last night, where a runner started out at second base to start the inning when we were on offense. When the run scored, there was no way to credit a stolen base, run or RBI, etc. Most Youth extra inning rules have a variation of the "California" tie-breaker rule:
Each team puts the batter who is cheduled to bat last in that respective half of the inning on second base and plays out a full inning. This happens each 1/2 inning until the tie is broken and the game is complete.
Thank you.

I'll second this suggestion. It hasn't happened to me yet, but I'm sure it will, and I'd like the app to be able to handle this situation!

We will add this to our list of enhancements for a future release... lots of crazy rules coming out of the woodwork, but over time, we should be able to handle them all.
We started with MLB and the rules of the original testers' kid's leagues, but will continue to expand to try and support as many variations as possible.
Thank you.

LOL. That's whacked.
Try to keep off the wall stuff like this tucked away under it's own button. "Load the bases and show two outs with a fifth base placed between second and third on the 3rd Sunday of the month unless it's a full moon" type options are going to convolute the hell out of this thing.

Actually, this California tie-breaker situation (and its slight modifications) are quite common in youth baseball, particularly in elimination "playoff" games where a winner is required.

I agree.
We use the California Tie in most of the baseball tournaments in our area.

One of the developers was affected by the California Tie Breaker rule at his son's Pony League game this evening so it has officially been moved up in the priority list

This is very common in fast-pitch softball too. We call it International Tie Breaker. Last batted out in the previous inning starts at 2nd. We play 7 regulation innings and if the score is tied, we start the 8th inning this way.

As noted, the priority has been bumped up for this, and it will most likely be a part of the 1.70 release.
Thank you.
