with a runner at 1st base, the hitter hits a ground ball wich will lead to a double play. Why not having a DOUBLE PLAY button (choice) as a short cut instead of this :

have to click on OUT-GROUND BALL, than show the place where the ball was hit and then touching each position that handled the ball...in making the outs as requested, and again having to answer to "what happened to the runner at 1st base" to which you have to click on OUT followed by FORCE OUT

There is a shortcut. Swipe (rather than press) on OUT.

This will bring up a list of quick out options including all standard double play combinations when they apply.

Oh, and in your scenario above, you would want to select Double Play, not Force Out.
