Show hit locations in pitch by pitch

Unless I am missing something, there does not seem to be a way of seeing the location/details of a specific hit after it has been recorded (other than by watching the archived Scorecast). As far as I can tell, you only get cumulative spray charts and narrative descriptions in the play by play. Often when I am correcting stuff in the play by play after an inning or a game, it would be a huge help to be able to see the recorded hit location for that play so I can verify that a particular play is the one I want to edit. I think this would be much more useful than seeing the pitch location in the pitch by pitch. It would also be informative to people reading the play by play after the game so they can see more detail about a particular play.

Thanks for a great app.

The hit location shows in the iScorecast and also on the Scorecard PDF. The description of the play should also help identify which play is the one you are trying to edit.

I see that on the scorecard now. I do think it would be helpful to see it on the pitch by pitch though, so you don't have to cross check two different sources to get all the info.

On a related note, is there a legend for the hit locations, i.e. what color means hard vs. med. soft, popup vs. fly vs. line drive, etc?

The strength of the hit is represented by the thickness of the lines. Popup vs line drive vs grounder are set by the "type" value, and you can tell by the shape of the line what it represents (fast ball vs curve vs makeup).
