Pulling Rosters from Websites???

Post by Divnkd101 » Sat Mar 24, 2012 7:17 pm

Has anyone looked into the possibility of being able to add a roster from an orginazations website( ie USSSA, Nations) ???? Iscore is definitely a powerful tool to use. However, inputting upwards of 12 names (new ones) can sometimes be time consuming. Just a thought. Most names on a roster are built into a field of sorts in each website. Thanks in advance for any input.

We have created this ability for organizations that have made the data available to us through an API. You should email these organizations and ask them to make their rosters available to iScore users. If enough people send emails, they may make them available. They can contact us directly at support@iscoresports.com if they are interested in integrating.

I typically go to usssa's website and copy and paste current roster into the group player add option of the website. This will get you a little head start for when you get to the field. It also gives you a slight indication ofmwhomthe guest players are.

I do the same as Camarabry for USSSA and for Nations (although I paste into Excel first to clean things up some and then paste this list into the Admin website.). The only issue I have is making sure I don't add a duplicate player. I wish there were some easier way to determine if I am adding a player where the name already exists.

If you do happen to enter a duplicate, you can always use the Merge functionality to combine the players back into one.
