Would like the iPad app to function similar to iPhone in regards to in-game def/off substitutions. On iPhone when i click the batter i pull up the offense subs and can toggle between off/def. On iPad I could not find a way to toggle to offense subs, and had to go back to misc menu and pull up 'Show Starting Lineup' to change batting order. It is pretty convenient on the iPhone app to toggle between what you need. If can't easily do that, bring up offensive subs instead of defense when we click the batter.
great app, been using the iPhone version for quite awhile and just started using iPad app.

Show starting line up doesn't create a sub. It changes the starting line up. Your stats will be completely thrown off.

Is there a defined way to do off subs or change the order of the hitters at game time?

the iPhone and iPad app handle substitutions exactly the same.
In your problem game on the iPad, you most likely had all players set to bat = yes in the starting line up, so you had no bench to sub.

Thanks, that link is to the iphone app that works the way the video describes, but the ipad app does not have the same feature for offensive subs.

by the way, that looks like it might have been introduced in v3.44, i am running 3.44.241 and there is not a tabbed toggle between offense/defense on the sub screen.

The Offensive and Defensive sub has worked the same way for years... on both iPhone + iPad (and even Android). You must have at least one player set to Batting = NO in your lineup or the Offensive substitution tab is not available. If you don't have any players in your lineup with Batting = NO, then there are no players available to do an offensive substitution. Many youth leagues use "all players bat", and there is no need for Offensive substitutions in that case.
