SIMPLE Mode

GREAT APP!! I'm a coach for my daughter's softball team, and I'd love to see the ability to switch to a 'SIMPLE MODE'. Even with your easy to use app, there's just not enough time to track every play AND coach the team.

I'd like ONE SCREEN with the ability to see/track:
* Balls/Strikes
* Outs
* Runs
* Inning (with ability to end manually)
* Lineup (incl #) with BATTER highlighted
* For batter SAFE/OUT (safe goes to next batter, out adds out and goes . .)

Essentially, I'm looking for a ball/strike/out/inning counter (like an umpire uses) with score and team lineup that keeps track of who is up.

THANKS for considering it!

That might be something that is worthwhile for me too. Even as the assistant coach, I find it difficult to make sure the on-deck batter is ready, and all the other things I need to do while keeping score.

The biggest challenge with that type of mode is that you really can't track statistics unless the entire play is entered. We are trying to keep score and also provide detailed statistics/scorebook at the end of the game.

We have talked about creating several offshoot products (batting tracker, pitching tracker, etc...). Maybe a simple scoring app like this that does not track stats would be useful as well. We will consider it for the future.

Thank you.

Mini iscore Apps for offshoot needs, interesting idea ...i umpire, i bat, i pitch, i field, i rules ... interesting but suspect the market size is limited.

What about a feature in the current software that says something like "I only care about the score and the plays my son/daughter makes"? In this case, you don't get stats or a scorecard but you have a scoreboard and some sort of report just for specific players. Maybe those stats are then compiled into a season report just for the info for the player and his "family".

It is a little difficult to try and only score portions of a game that one player is involved in. In version 2.0 (awaiting approval from Apple), we do have a "baseball card" view that shows stats only for that player, and across all games they have played in. You do still have to score the games for this to work however.

I'd like to add my vote for a "simple mode" to track the batting stats (or pitching stats) for a single player. I'd like to track my own stats for what I did during a game hits, etc, spray chart for what I hit where... I'd like to set up the situation of number of people on base, outs etc as I got up to bat to track RBIs etc.

Unfortunately I can't score the whole game as I am also playing, but would love to input, personal activities, and keep track of seasonal stats, spray chart, etc.

Love the app! Wish I could score the whole game, but hard to bring the iphone in the field with me (or up to bat) and still stay focused .

We have on our list to come out with just Hitting / Pitching Trackers that can be used to score for individuals, but it is not our highest priority right now. Thank you for the feedback as it helps us to prioritize as we move forward.
