There are many times when it appears that it would be quicker if I could enter the location of a hit before resolving how many bases awarded (single, double, triple, etc.).

Now, I have to wait to see what the hit was, then I can draw where it was hit, followed by any other action that has to be recorded for other batters.

I have found if I could place the hit location on longer plays, I am not scrambling to catch up to the next batter.

This is more important on complex plays, but may be an overall change that could increase speed of entry. Curious to see what others think.

A simple example is a long fly ball in the gap or over a fielders head and range that results in a double; however, runner decides to try for 3 and gets caught in a rundown. At what point can you take your eyes off of the play and record the action? If I had already drawn hit location, that would be out of the way.

In this example, I would like to see:
1). Hit location screen
2). Out/Safe resolution: score a double
3). what happened to screen: record the out
4). which players touched the ball for the out screen

I believe that this only involves changing the current order of #1 and #2, but most importantly gains me valuable time entering data with the proverbial "coaches fat fingers."

Similar ideas have been posted on the forum, and there is method behind the way this is done. I couldn't find the post with the search.

I find it is easiest (and most enjoyable) to watch the play to completion. I've never found that so much happens on the play that I can't remember after the play is over what needs to be entered.

The reason we need to do it after you select the type of hit is there are several "In Play" options that don't involve a hit location (Base on Balls, Hit by Pitch, Catcher Obstruction, etc). We need you to enter the hit type before we know whether to prompt for hit location.
