Pitcher Stats, Game stats, and no decisions

Post by OhioTex » Mon Jul 11, 2011 7:31 am

Idea for future consideration, add to pitcher stats,....
* game starts, complete games and no decisions..
** also think about in addition to hits, ground out and air outs, which are there by pitcher, how about FC and ROE by pitcher, (although not traditional pitcher stats, helps breakdown the defense support ( or lack their of).
as always thanks for your consideration..

I agree with your post . . .
it brings up another idea . . .
I've been thinking about reviewing all of our games this season to see which player on our team has the best batting average and/or OBP leading off an inning. Although the teams lead-off hitter is only guaranteed to lead off an inning once a game (1st Inning), this stat would tell us who would be best suited to do that at the start of a game. If iScore has any free time :), it would be nice to see a stat "BA/LOI" (Batting Average Leading Off an Inning) and "OBP/LOI". Does anyone else see any value in this?

Of course i see value, i ask my self that question all the time. I also am curious who routinely makes the last out of an inning. I do not know if iscore will prioritize any of these but do find interesting questions.

+1 I'm all for more kinds of stats to break down . Ohio's pitching suggestions would be nice, especially at younger ages where a good pitcher can hidden by poor defense.

The additional hitting stats would also be good tools for the coaches.
