Additional quickouts

Would be nice to have additional quickouts for a flyout to left, center, and right field. These quickouts would also do the hit location automatically to those positions as well

Can't do the hit locations automatically because a fly out to left fielder may be down the line, right at him, or more in left center. (Same for the other outfield positions.) Also could be shallow, or near the wall.

agree, w/ FTM to much automation creates problems .

+1 quickout pop up to all fielders. I would just default it to medium popup. If its anything else (line drive) the scorer can use the main data entry screen. I really don't see how routine fly balls are any different than a routine ground ball. Several times each game I swipe for a quick out on a routine fly and have to go back and enter everything. IMO it would be nice for every routine play to have a quick option.

+1 what this guy said, he put it into words exactly what I was thinking. My only change is the default would be a medium flyball

Ok lets compromise ford :) How about we default to medium fly ball on a quick out to all outfield positions, and default to medium popup to all infield positions?

I personally don't have a problem recording location just like we currently do on routine grounders. However, I do think it would be nice to not have to record the location for quick outs (so they would be even quicker).

I'd define a routine fly or ground ball as a ball essentially hit right at a fielder such that they did not have to move much - in that case the hit location for all the quick plays could be inferred. If the play requires more precise hit location, we use the normal entry screen - or we can always go back after the fact and edit it in the pitch-by-pitch.

This would save a lot of data entry time over the course of a game.

+1 Sounds good to me!
