Request for stats by position

First I would like to say I really like the app, was using it last year on the iPod, but upgrading to an iPad this year. I don't think I could ever go back now, I love the larger screen layout and all the info that is handy.

I read some older posts that had requests for stats report by position, and would like to add my request to that. I read one reply that said older teams tend to keep their players in one position. That is true, but only to a certain extent. Our 14U softball team has 12 players, and several of them change positions depending on whose pitching. For example when one pitcher does not pitch, she will play shortstop, and that shortstop will then move to third, and the third baseman will move to right field. Sometimes that happens during a game when a pitcher is relieved. When we review the stat report that shows errors, putouts and assists, it would be very helpful to know what position they were in at that time. The player card gives almost all that information, but not quite. Seems that if the positions played, and fielding stats were combined, that would work. I used another program for the Palm broke down the fielding stats by summarizing it for each player and then by position. I would never go back to that program as iScore is far better in so many ways, but right now we have to use the scorecards or play by play to manually create that data.

Also, once you have been through the lineup once, is there an easy way to see what the upcoming batters did their last time up? I know it shows on the screen what the at batter did their last time up, but can I toggle to the next batters somehow?

Thanks and keep up the good work!

We do have this on our enhancement list and will likely be adding it in the future. We are not sure when yet as there are still other items that get more requests from users, but we are constantly re-evaluating.

The easiest way right now to see what the upcoming batters did previously would be to open the Scorecard (it is always one click away). You can see the results of previous at bats there.

You can see historical spray charts for any player on the iPad by tapping their player name in the Lineups that are visible on the screen as well.
