Substitutions of players not listed in the current roster

I score a lot of minor league games and often experience the substitution of a player who is not even listed on the most recent team roster provided at game time. I suggest you add the ability to insert a new player (not on the roster) from within the substitution window. It is great the way you can select by scrolling through the players in the roster, but terribly inconvenient when they do not exist. Allowing for the entry of basic information (name and number) would allow you to stay current with the flow of the game. I realize you can make additions to the roster from other locations in the application, but they often put you behind if you are interested in things like pitch count by tracking balls and strikes.

If you just tap Misc->Show Starting Lineup from the main scoring screen, you can add missing players there. We had allowed the addition of new players from the sub screen at one time, and what we found is people wound up with two copies of the same player much too often because instead of really looking to see if the player was already there, they would just create a new one immediately. The way we have it now has reduced the "duplicate player issue" tremendously. Having duplicate players means the cumulative stats would not be tracked properly because each of the duplicates would be tracked independently.
