I'd like to have the ability to add teams to my iscore team list from websites of the tournament organizations. My son plays in Nations Baseball, USSSA and Super Series. It'd be nice if teams and rosters (particularly rosters, which tend to change yearly or more often) could be directly imported from the websites for the tournament organizaitons. This certainly would save a lot of time manually entering the information.

Phil, great suggestion that is on FTM's to do list from a previous poster. I too would like a clean download option but it has not been integrated yet.

FTM has said before due to the number of different organizations and standards in youth ball.. probably not a high priority./ but they do listen to the customer voice on these forums as more users 'support' a feature.

if you are associated with MaxPreps, you can click on team names in the Admin site to data in format for MaxPreps

some Current users copy and paste rosters via the admin website.

but currently not a way for direct or indirect connectivity to USSSA , AAU NATIONS ASA NFP etc

How about a simple copy and paste text import?

something like:
firstname,lastname,number,position

Then a user can pretty easily "screen scrape" a roster from any website and put it in the correct formatting and paste it into the application - not ideal but quicker and more accurate than manually entering the roster.

Personally, I'd like the lineup / roster / player data entry to be streamlined a bit:

A single text entry box - to enter the players name (first and last) number and position the format would be something like:

player name, 44, 1b (or 3)

the software could split the name based on spaces easily enough - the number is recognized as an integer in the 2nd column, and the position is either 2 character text or a single digit.

You can do copy/paste roster entry right now from Admin Website. Go to Options->Admin Website on your device to see how to log in to your Admin Website. From the Teams tab, you can create new teams or edit existing teams, and do a "Batch Add" of players where you can do the copy/paste in bulk.

The basic procedure for using the Admin Website to update teams is this:

1. Do an Options->Export in iScore to send your data to the server.

2. Log in to the Admin Website and make any changes you want.

3. Do an Options->Import in iScore to bring your changes back to your device.

NOTE: Always be sure to do the Options->Export first so that the newest data on your device is copied to the server. An Options->Import will overwrite the data on your local device.

For first time users, Here is where batch add is on the admin site...

1. Export data to admin server
2. Log onto admin site

On admin web site...
* click on team tab,
* click on the spread sheet icon for desired team

On team roster page..
- single helmet icon (upper right) to add one player
- multiple helmet icon (bottom left) to 'batch add' players ( as suggested in FTM note)
- pencil icon, edits existing players

4.. Save changes on admin web site
5 import back data on your handheld

Unless you have exported recently, you do not see The team helmets for editing on the admin web site team page as Referenced in my previous post.

So do not forget step 1 export
