"Hide" Teams

Post by EricR » Sun May 17, 2009 10:43 pm

Our team plays many different teams during the season - as many as 30 different opponents - and I don't need to keep all of those other teams listed and available for each new game I start. But I don't need to delete them (will it affect stats?) so I would like to be able to archive or file them away into some folder and only access them if needed. I'm afraid/unsure that if I delete a team the stats for all games with that team might be affected.

You can delete teams from Team Manager, and the Game Stats won't be effected. You won't be able to view Team Stats for the teams that are deleted though.

One possibility if you really don't care about the other team specifically would be to create a single team called "Opponent", and create new games against "Opponent", and change the name of the game to be who it really is.

You would then be able to view Team Stats for your opponents as an aggregate, and compare your team's performance vs the opponents performance.

Just a thought...

Some ideas...a few of which have been discussed in previous posts/threads.

1) Flagging teams as "Active", "Inactive"...with a toggle to turn on/off
2) Setting "My team" or "teams"
3) The ability to drag/order just like the lineup (so users can create their own order)
4) Adding Leagues (should [hopefully] decrease the # of teams through distribution)
5) Any/All of the above.
