I'd like to have a way to change the scoring decisions that I made in earlier innings. When watching a game it happens that I score a flyout where later on I find out that the official scorer scored the play as a sacrifice fly. This changes the batting statistics significantly, so I want to be able to correct my scoring.

This will help me be even more productive with your excellent product.

You can make that 'edit' today using the pitch by pitch editor
Access it by...Game manager> select game > pitch by pitch, then
Scroll down to the event in question, and edit the activity,
in this case from fly out to sac fly.

You will find the pitch by pitch editor lets you make "non game changeing edits", like a hit single to error, or in your case fly out to sac fly out. But you can not make game changeing events, change a single to a double or and out to a hit for example.

Also be sure you have the most current version - v2.85 on the home screen. This version is the most stable on both ipad and iphone.
