More than one app to declutter the program.

I am requesting the ability to have a differant program (differant data) on one device that has nothing to do or cross over with other data. For example I play Softball, my daughter plays travel Softball and my son plays travel Baseball. I purchased the program and an Ipad for my sons team and got hooked because I was doing trial runs at my softball games. I now want to do this for every team but it is WAY too cluttered.
Yes I an aware that you can set up leagues and check them etc... etc.... but simply put I do not want too. I want a clean easy program and link to one website per program without pilfering the data. This should be simple and would earn you more money.
How can you earn more money....simple. A person would have to purchase separate programs for the separate data but honestly $10.00 for a program is nothing to a person spending $300.00 for an Iphone or $800.00 for an IPAD in fact in one of your own posts you mentioned 40 million Iphone devices well I bet the research will show this income bracket will not worry alot about a couple of bucks for another program.
I would bet that you easily would get MOST current users to at least purchase one more program that can be used independantely. I know I am going to get slammed for suggesting additional costs but after reading the posts I really think many people would buy. I will happily be your frist customer and take three separate programs and websites please!

"I would bet that you easily would get MOST current users to at least purchase one more program that can be used independantely. [sic]"
I bet you won't. Just because "you don't want too [sic]" use the feature of the program that let's you have exactly you're looking for, you want *everybody* else to pay?
Taking away existing features then forcing users to pay more for a less useful version of that feature is not good customer service. It's a way to drive yourself out of business.

Ok sorry I will be much more careful on my spelling this time, working the hours I do does not allow me the spare time you have available.
Those that wish to use the program exactly as it is could but those that wish to have a cleaner program would be able to accomsplish what they wish.
You ASSUME that I wanted to take away features and ASSUME I do not understand customer service. You are very incorrect because if that was true I would not be able to afford the ability to purchase the second program. The bottom line is there are posts (several) requesting the ability to distinguish between teams so the demand exists and will come to exist through enhancements or the ability to have multiple programs.
Sorry this comes off so rude but your tone and assumptions started this off wrong. Sounds like you are bitter as you could have replied a number of ways but chose this route.

Personally I like the software the way it is and it works for my purposes with multiple teams, leagues and seasons. However, I see your point that you want a second copy of the app on your device for compartmentalization regardless of the additional expense. FTM would have to come up with something to deal with one device id and 2 copies using it.

Danmcc, I love the program too. In fact I think it is awesome which is why I have become so involved with it. The ONLY reason I wish I could have differant data sets is because I want to use it for several differant teams, leagues and ages. With so much data I could see this getting cluttered easily. I also think it will be easier for the parent that will score my sons game to only see his data instead of softball or my daughters team.
As a business owner I have learned that if I "rigg" the data it will bite me later as the program continues to enhance. I can tell that this program is just starting and will continue to grow and develope as people love it. Anybody else use this program for a while and have some input.

It is likely we will come up with more ways to manage data in the future. We would not want to have to charge people for it, though we appreciate that you would not mind paying for the additional service.
Leagues are intended to reduce clutter --- it should be possible to create a league like "Daughter's League" and "Son's League" which would have just the appropriate data and then you would just need to toggle one league on or off to see just what you want to focus on.
That being said, there could certainly be users that would like to just have "separate databases" for each set of data they want to maintain. We will continue trying to improve advanced features like this as priorities allow.
If others would like to have this feature, please chime in so we can see if there is more demand for it. It doesn't need to be a debate as to whether it is good or bad as anything we would add in this regard would be done in a way so as not to interfere with the way people currently use the application as well.
Thank you.

It would be helpful if there was at least an area on the main screen that indicated which leagues are currently active.

Tell me if this works before I try or buy:
I have my sons app on the iPad and I purchase another app for my wives iPhone. I then will have two totally separate data bases. Then if I want to score my daughters game from my iPad I can export all data and sign in under the other account with only her information. This would work because iTunes will NOT recognize them as the same Customer number or Am I wrong? I think the big problem is the shared customer identification numbers and working around iTunes.
The third data set for my softball team would require a third iTunes account or could I use my iPhone for the other account? I do not think so because it marries the iPhone and iPad account on my iTunes.
I am fortunate to own several devices so this is not ideal but would work. FTM help on this one until you are able to upgrade the device.
Ps I will bet you free programs for our baseball league that you will end up charging for multiple programs in the future or will charge a yearly upgrade/maintenance fee. As a business man I know that is the only way you will be able to maintain the level of service you have achieved even though free is always better. Your service is great! Is it a bet?

The databases are actually tied to the "device", not the iTunes account. Each device can have its own database, but a single device only has one database. If your devices all log in as the same iTunes account, you can actually install iScore free on the additional devices (same is true of any App on iTunes), and then each device can have its own database. You can use Data Sharing built into iScore to transfer data between devices, but it combines the data.
You can definitely use the separate devices to keep score for different leagues however (e.g. the iPad for your son's league and one of the iPhones for your daughter's league).

Mongoose -
(late to the thread, been away)
bottom line. today, only one iscore database allowed per device, and FTM has the suggestion for multiple database per device on its list of enhacement ideas.
So what to do today?
to be more clean in your database, it would seem The cleanest way is to earmark one device per team. e.g ipad = sons baseball team, and iphone = daughters softball team. This will keep them seperated.
The other benefit of this organizing principal of course is pure logistics, two devices means being able to score two games at the same time, when inevitably, your son is one place and daughter another.
TIP - Make sure when you buy Team web sites, you buy them from the right 'home device', (ie softball=iphone, baseball=ipad) so when you export from iphone, Softball team web site is updated, and when you export from your ipad, baseball team web site is updated. (recall team web sites are device team specific). if you did not purchase team site from right device, FTM can transfer for you behind the scenes, and fix it after the fact, just email them)
inevitable Logistics - the problem with dedicating a device of course is inevitably, will ind your self with the wrong device at the wrong place. No worry. if you find yourself at your daughters game and with the ipad, score it, and then data share it back to your iphone later. and you can deleate from the ipad after the data share, to keep your data clean.
You can still use leagues on each device to seperate that teams seasons andor tournaments etc. Spring ball, summer ball, fall bal or specific tournaments) and all will be posted to the web site cleanly.
the master organization principal will be one team, one device, one database and one web site per team.
