Quick roster on lineup

Several times I have opened a game without putting the opponents lineup in. It would be nice if there was a quick roster button on the lineup screen if you haven't yet added a roster for the team you are playing.

It would actually be a "Quick Lineup" in this case. :) We will add the idea to our enhancement list, but the simple solution is whenever you create a new team that you don't know the players for, immediately create a Quick Roster for the team, and you can just change the names of the auto-generated players as you learn their real names/numbers.

I too like the idea of a quick line up button becoming available when you open a new game and see no players, if you have players should be grayed out.

Why?
As a fairly experienced user I too have this happen more often than I care to admit.. create new team and forget to set the quick roster. Especially in bracket play when team not known in advance. I think it happens because the quick roster button ( lower right) is hidden under the keyboard, when filling out team name, manager, color etc.. Especially on I pad, you don't notice the button as easily. If the quick roster option where visible while keyboard open, or say also a menu choice, I think I would forget less often and not need quick line up...

My two cents

P.s Welcome back , getting ready for football and basketball I see

Also an "Add Player" when substituting, please

I agree.

It would also be quite helpful if, when you do a substitution, you were not constrained by the roster-- how about an "Add Player"? The couple times I've scored at an MLB game, there always seems to be a late callup that comes in to pitch and I don't have them in the roster. This is really cumbersome when play is starting and you're having to go to the starting lineup and add them as a non-batter and then go back to the game and make the switch.

It would be so much easier to be able to add right from the substitution screen.
