Situation:
1) bases loaded, ball hit to 3rd base, 5-2-3 double play...
2) runner on 1st, ball hit to 2nd base, 4U-3 double play...
The only way I've figured out how to score this is to give the batter a fielders choice, mark the force out on the runner, and then use the double play button when it asks what happened to the batter-runner...this results in the correct order of outs, but incorretly displays the at bat.
The other way to score this is to say the batter grounded out, and then the runner was forced out... This results in an incorrect order of outs, but correctly displays the at bat.
It would be nice to have a "DP 2nd out" or "TP 3rd out" button when you press "out" on the batter screen or else a "Did not reach" button under the "in play" option so you can correctly display the order of outs and the result of the at bat.

Re: double play options
i beleive you are correct, a limitation in the current version..
The issue of DP outs being noted on scorebook (red numbers in circles) out of sequence has been discussed in other threads.. One of the solutions has been the implementation of the "swip out" screen for a number of common double play situations (eg. DP6-4-3, DP1-4-3). When you use 'swipe out' for double plays, the scorebook does record the sequence of outs correctly.
Unfortuneatly, neither of your DP examples (eg, DP4-3, DP5-2-3) are on the short list of 'swipe out plays'... so getting out sequence and scorebook notations correct on your examples is limited. ( One small tip, on your example for the DP 4-3 example you gave... for what happen to runner on 1st? I would use "out" "double play" instead of "out", "force out". This will give you DP4-3 notation in the batter/runner scorebook box instead of 4-3.
Perhaps FTM will give consideration to some more behind the scenes code to 'order outs' any time double or tripple play are selected. becuase the combinations are so numerous,

Re: double play options
I am aware of the swipe out menu... but like you said... it contains 5-4-3, 6-4-3, 4-6-3, etc... nothing involving 2 or 5 in the middle, an nothing unassisted.
Re: double play options
i assumed you were aware of the swip out screen, as you choose variations not on it.
I think that is one of the challanges FTM has to work through, no way in that implementation to create swipe out buttons for all the possible combinations --just too many.
That is why i think your suggstion of a second button or some variation on it on the out/safe page - needs consideration.. Something lets user direct the order of the outs if needed on DP and TP .

Re: double play options
We made the code correct the order of the outs in the most common scenarios, but there will still be some that slip through the cracks. Keep in mind the order of the outs makes no difference for statistics and you can always see the order of outs on the play by play and pitch by pitch listings.
That being said, we will continue trying to catch more scenarios where they do not show in the correct order and fixing them as time permits. We try and spend the most time on things that have statistical impacts or enhance the scorekeeping experience.
Thank you.
