Wanted to know, when i put all my son's games in the game manager i change the dates to be the true date of the game.
Everything seemed ok, when i went back to game manager they were not in order anymore by date. Wanted to know if that is somthing that can be done or am i doing somthing wrong? Also would be nice to put what time the game is to start for that scheduled game. Any input
would be great, love this app.

Thanks,
Mike

We will likely add a way to preschedule games in the future. Right now, you can enter them and change the title, but we do not have a date field for a future start date and time. The sort order for games that have not yet been played will generally by the order they are entered into iScore.

There is a semi workaround today..
(but it has some unintended consequences you may not like)

To set a future day/time for start....
Enter your future game like you have been doing in game manager ("scheduled")
Go ahead and start the game (play, done, play) but do not throw a pitch,
at scoreing screen, hit exit
Next time you enter game info screen, scroll down and set the future start day/time.

You can do this for multiple games.
They will show up as 0-0 1st inning, until you go back to scoreing screen,
and hit undo, to return to "touch play to start" screen

Initially the games will be sorted as entered, but after you exit the Application and re enter game manager, they will re sort top down, based on the start day/time you set, (oldest at bottom, ie June game on top of May game, on top of April, etc). (you may not like having your immediate next game, hidden in the middle..).

One way to hide future games is to assign them to special "future games", league, and then manage the game visibility by managing what leagues are on and off.

Also next time you export, the games will show up on the team web site as 0-0 Ties.
(unless you went back into game and hit undo, to return to "touch play to start")
(note: future unscheduled games do not get posted to web site, but future games with set date/time as i describe will get posted to team web site, wither as 0-0 tie in first inning, or " a dash" in score and blank in result, stats follow suit, no game added if dash in score.).

you can also mask any game from appearing in team web site, by changing the leagues assigned to the game, before you export

Not sure this is worth the trouble, depends on your needs.. but as it may be a while for FTM to add future scheduling to a future version. thought I would share...

Personally, I just enter my games day of, and avoid the extra management tasks described above.

I went ahead and tried this out for one of my leagues in process. and seems to be working as expected. including filtering out with a 'future schedule' league. on/off.

also found you can "undo" after starting to get back to "touch play to start" on first pass, and save a step.

Does this get easier in the League version? It seems like it should work now when I create the game and change the date, but no go.

Are there any shorter work-arounds since this post?

Cheers,
Jason

League websites will handle "scheduled" games much better. The iScorecast screen was not meant as a way to view a future schedule --- it was meant as a way to show when a game is live, and show a history of games that were scored while iScorecast was on.

I entered 19 future games last night and noticed that, after exporting, they got a little out of order on my iPad. I used the Location field to name the game location and start time and changed the Game Name filed to show the future date. Future date stuck if I hit the 'Return' key on the ipad keyboard iinstead of just hitting the 'Done' button in upper right.

I thought that if FTM adds;
- Game Date (future scheduled date)
- Scheduled Time
- Location
along with
- Game Name
that the info could be exported as an .ics file and emailed & imported to show up in the iPad Calendar as well as my laptop iCal. Then I'd only have to enter the info once.

I've only used iscore for a hypothetical practice game, to learn it a little better, and I think it is going to be really great for our team and to get all those incredible stats.

Thanks!

Forgot to add...

If we schedule any future games, will there be an option to upload the Game Names, dates, times and locations to our team iscorebaseball.com website calendar?
