Visual indicator in scorecard for batter substitution

Post by dohboy32847 » Fri Apr 16, 2010 9:57 am

Can you add a visual indicator in the scorecard for batter substitutions, similar to the indicator for a pitching change? Tough to determine when the new batter actually went up to bat when looking at the scorecard. My only recourse now is to go to "pitch by pitch."

It should actually list the inning the substitution was made in on the scorecard on the left hand side. If it is not doing that for you, let us know and we will check into why it is not happening for you.

It does list the position/inning in which the player went in, however, one cannot tell which half of the inning he went in. Example, Batter 7 goes to the plate at top of 4th inning. Bottom of the 4th inning, Player 8 replaces Batter 7 at 2nd base. In the scorebook it reads that Player 8 came in at 2nd base in the 4th inning for Batter 7. However, one cannot distinguish which player, Batter 7 or Player 8, had the plate appearance in the 4th inning. With some sort of a visual indicator, in this case, a thick line on the left side of the box when Player 8 eventually comes up to the plate, would help identify who had the plate appearance.

We actually had the vertical bar in the boxes at one point and took it out due to some issues... we will see about getting them back in for a future release.

I know it is a low priority but this is a plug for situation scorecard. It would be obvious if that were used in this case. :)
